The “Supplemental Curriculum Unit 4- God Gave Us Communities,” helps children explore the ways God has provided communities and services to support healthy lives. The curriculum consists of two topics, “This is My Community” and “ Exploring My Community”, with six learning center activities for each topic. The Supplemental Curriculum is based upon a learning center methodology and this curriculum offers specific directions and tools for how to utilize the learning centers as an extension of the learning experiences. This learning center methodology provides age appropriate holistic child development opportunities for caregivers and children to be actively involved in learning together.
