The lesson “Safe Gross Motor and Fine Motor Development for the Growing Baby” builds on a previous lesson (HV22) and focuses on children ages 4-6 months and 6-12 months. It reinforces gross motor skills, introduces the concept of fine motor skills and invites a caregiver to explore the differences. The lesson also shows the caregiver how to assess her child’s motor skills development and provides ideas for helping her child practice through age-appropriate games and skills.
