The lesson “Encouraging Age-Appropriate Self-Help Activities for Your Child” equips the mother/caregiver to teach her child to self-feed in a culturally appropriate manner. The lesson discusses proper expectations of a 16-18-month-old child and identifies behaviors that a 16-18-month-old child can accomplish alone. The lesson also allows the mother to practice giving her child opportunities to do age-appropriate tasks and self-help activities in her home.
