Observe how this caregiver follows the infant’s curiosity in exploring books and other objects. Listen to what the caregiver says and how she communicates to the infant as he explores. Notice the pace of the teacher’s voice, how she encourages the infant’s natural interest, and the narration or labeling that naturally occurs in their conversation.
