The lesson “Preventable Disease-HIV/AIDS” enables the mother/caregiver to list ways HIV is transmitted, identify ways to protect herself and her family from contracting HIV, and determine whether she should pursue HIV testing. The lesson also helps the mother/caregiver identify local resources for HIV counseling, testing and treatment.
