The lesson “When Breastfeeding is Not an Option” helps the mother/caregiver understand why formula is the best option for her baby when breastfeeding is not possible. This lesson also enables her to explore options for acquiring safe formula and the necessary feeding equipment to nourish the baby, as well as  a demonstration for the safe preparation, use, and storage of infant formula.
