The lesson “Healthy Cooking with Local Food Resources” enables the mother/caregiver to prepare nutritionally balanced meals using the different food types: staple, go, grow, and glow food. She learns how to categorize foods in her home according to these types, and how to identify additional foods to supplement what she already has in the home.
