The lesson “God’s Creatures: Some Are Safe, Some Are Not” is part 16 of a 35 part series on human development, the human body, health, and safety. This lesson teaches about safety around animals and insects and needs to be customized to the local area. This resource includes a lesson plan for the teacher on how to prepare beforehand, class-time content to facilitate learning, hands-on activities facilitating further learning, and a teacher assessment at the end. This lesson is designed for a group of children between the ages of 9 and 11, and is the sixteenth physical development lesson in the Core Curriculum, 9-11 years, Year Two.
